For only $23.95 per month, CenterPoint Energy's Home Service Plus® (HSP) Replacement Assistance Plan provides a fixed payment to you when CenterPoint Energy determines that an appliance can no longer be repaired, because of its age and condition, or because parts are no longer available. Simply provide proof of purchase of a new appliance and CenterPoint Energy mails you the specified payment. If you purchase your replacement HVAC equipment (furnace, boiler, central air, fireplace, or water heater) from HSP you will get instant credit off your purchase price instead of waiting for a check to be sent in the mail.

Coverage for Customer-owned Natural Gas Pipes Homeowners are responsible for maintaining, repairing, and replacing natural gas pipes that run from the meter to the home's natural gas equipment. When the source of a gas leak or other problem is on a customer's natural gas pipe, repair costs can be high. CenterPoint Energy's Home Service Plus offers you the Pipe Protection Plan for only $5.95 a month. It covers interior, readily accessible, natural gas pipes running from the gas meter to your natural gas appliances.

If your main drain becomes clogged and you have our Main Drain Emergency Cleaning Plan, just call our 24-hour customer service call center at 612-333-6466 to arrange an emergency cleanout. Our professionally trained specialists will use a high-powered auger to unclog your main sewer drain line by removing tree roots, rust, grease and debris from your basement cleanout, under your lawn, toward the street for up to 150 feet (cleaning methods do not include excavation). Your main drain line must meet code requirements and be in operating condition at the time your plan begins.

The Electrical Surge Plan provides repair or replacement coverage up to $2000 per year for your home’s electronics. If a device fails due to an electrical surge event and the covered electronic item is damaged, CenterPoint Energy will cover repair or replacement costs.
